Trisha Watson is an IT Portfolio Manager with the State of Vermont's Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). She has worked for the State of Vermont for over a decade. Trisha's portfolio consists of the Agency of Transportation and Department of Motor Vehicles; Agency of Natural Resources; Agency of Commerce & Community Development; Agency of Agriculture, Food, and Markets; the Department of Public Safety; Secretary of State; and other Executive Branch Departments and Divisions. As an IT Portfolio Manager, Trisha leads a team of EPMO project managers and business analysts, working with agency and department leadership and IT Directors, to support successful outcomes for IT projects.
Before getting into Project Management, Trisha spent many years in marketing and was a creative director for a marketing firm. She loves learning new skills and mentoring her teams to help them achieve their goals.
Trisha's words to live by:
“Should you fail to pilot your own ship, don't be surprised at what inappropriate port you find yourself docked.” Trisha is a voracious reader and found this quote in Tom Robbins’ Jitterbug Perfume. It has lurked in her mind ever since—for nearly 30 years. She has not always heeded the advice!
When not working, Trisha and her partner Mark are avid mountain bikers and go year-round thanks to fat bikes! Together they have three kids, two grown and making their way in the world, and a third still at home, just entering her teens. They all like to vacation together in Maine, as often as they can.
